Patrick Grady is a highly qualified Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analyst with 15+ years of experience within the GIS, Remote Sensing (RS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) fields. A broad spectrum of project experience ranging from renewable and conventional energy utilities, environmental, natural resource management, threatened species, wildfire and ecological modeling and analysis has provided me a well rounded skill set. These experiences within both the public and private sectors make me a fully qualified and ideal candidate for a wide variety of positions within the Geospatial industry. My experiences working for multiple agencies within these vastly different sectors has provided me with an extremely solid and diversified background working with data in a variety of formats, projections and file types while adhering to individual agency standards. Through these experiences I have developed a unique skill set focused on the entire life cycle of geospatial data. This diverse skill set involves an in depth process which includes design and development of GPS data dictionaries, field survey data collection, data processing, analysis, management, serving, maintenance and archiving. Data development and progression also involves software, hardware and data structure compatibility as well as coordination of research and development of alternative or superior data analyses, inventories, techniques and protocols.

My distinct career has given me the opportunity to develop the ability to efficiently oversee and manage project funding, internal and external staff, in house applications, staff training, technical support and trouble shooting tasks and knowledge transfer through such mediums as websites, newsletters and list services. I am also a web developer for my own company, Waimea Web Design and Spatial Solutions (WWDSS). This company sees me utilizing the powerful and popular content management system (CMS), Drupal to create state of the art, fully dynamic and search engine optimized, interactive websites for clients. At WWDSS I also perform GIS analysis as a geospatial solution specialist.

I have proven that I can quickly, easily and proficiently adapt to a variety of working environments, scenarios, and situations.  I take pride in my high level of professionalism and that I am hardworking with exceptional creativity, direction, and people skills in management and team scenarios.  I am an excellent teacher and have a keen knack for explaining efforts and approaches to staff as well as external customers/agencies.  I have also proven my ability to be highly adaptive with new hardware, software and applications so as to find the optimal solution to the task at hand.

I am actively seeking opportunities in the private or government sectors which will allow me to apply  my diverse experience, passion and knowledge. To further my career by applying my direct technical expertise and experience within the GIS field towards learning, engaging and utilizing new technologies is my core objective moving forward.

I am fortunate to be a dual citizen of both the USA and Australia and therefore can easily engage in project work, contract roles, full, part time or casual positions very easily. I currently spend my time between San Diego, California and Hawaii as I have professional obligations in both places. I am interested in hearing from you regarding any opportunities that you may have and am very open to performing remote office work for projects located anywhere in the world.
