Profile
I am a young, energetic and enthusiastic graduate looking to build upon the foundation laid down by my 2:1 BSc in Geography, to start a long and successful career in GIS. I'm looking for a role which will focus on the development and progression of my current skill-set, whilst giving me hands on experience of the industry. I have a solid platform in GIS and spatial planning (experience with ArcGIS) having completed dedicated modules to them and am now looking for the right opportunity to enter the industry professionally. I would be happy to continue studying as part of the role to ensure my knowledge and development are always at their peak. I am both energetic and dynamic with the ability to take responsibility when required and will work hard to ensure a positive experience for both customers and colleagues in all situations.  Alongside this, I am  well organised, flexible and adaptable in approach, with a strong sense of humour and a desire to be successful. Having fallen in love with Australia during travelling, my aim is now to gain a position and move to the country permanently.

Interests & Achievements

  • Recently taught myself how to manually build a website in order to aid a family member in setting up a new business and provide myself with additional technological skills.
  • Spent 18 months travelling south-east Asia, Australia and New Zealand, continually developing myself and my abilities, whilst gaining an invaluable insight into a variety of different cultures around the World.
  • Achieved a management position while working in Australia, whereby I helped initially stabilize and subsequently turn around a struggling café, leaving it with a far better reputation and in a much stronger position financially than when I arrived.
